"Trains & Things in Ewing Township, NJ is nothing short of a railfan’s paradise—an absolute mecca for anyone who loves trains, collecting, or building their miniature empire at home. From the moment you step through the door, you’re enveloped in the magic: shelves overflowing with rolling stock, engines, building kits, accessories, and every tiny detail that fuels the dreams of train lovers young and old.
The atmosphere is welcoming, energized, and genuinely full of enthusiasm—thanks in no small part to the fantastic staff, especially Tony. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned collector, Tony greets everyone like an old friend, quick with advice and truly passionate about helping you get the most from your model railway hobby. The guidance and knowledge here are second to none: troubleshooting track layouts, recommending new releases, or simply geeking out over the latest arrivals, you’re always in good hands.
For years, I’ve been deep into O gauge, amassing plenty of big, bold pieces thanks to the great selection. But as life shifts and space becomes a premium, I’m switching gears—enter the world of N scale, and particularly Kato. Trains & Things has a solid inventory of Kato’s superb offerings: dependable, precise, and wonderfully suited for automation, making them perfect for both compact layouts and high-tech control setups. The variety and quality are such that if my budget allowed, I’d splurge every time I walked in.
Simply put, Trains & Things isn’t just a store—it’s a community and sanctuary for anyone who finds joy in the world of trains. If you’re in Ewing Township and even remotely curious, do yourself a favor and make a visit. Bring a little extra cash if you can… because you’ll want to buy so much more once you see what’s on offer!"

"There's a ton of O gauge to choose from, and all at a fair price. The owner is very helpful too. I'll definitely be back"
"Great shop for O guage, Tony and staff always very helpful."
"I could only go to 5 stars but would have went more if Google would have allowed. I have delt with the owner and his daughter, knowledge, customer service I love going here. This was my Fathers, Fathers pre-war train and they took care of it and us like family. You need not worry if you don't have the answers because they do and will be there for you if anything doesn't work out. Heck I like going there just look around and listen to them. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE if you are into model railroads, NO ONE COMPARES not even a little bit, ever heard of the NFL Rams "The Greatest Show on Turf" well, this is the Greatest Train Store on Earth!!! Thank you both!!!"
